Very good thing to know (especially since it doesn't seem to be documented)! Any idea why it was implemented this way, though? What would be the drawback of NOT delaying initialization? Would that not also work under non-2003 Windows? Either way, could they not have added version-detection to the routine to make it all automatic? Just wondering! (Oh, and any idea whether Windows Vista will require the same treatment?)
